Kurt Wendlandt (1917 – 1998) was a German painter, graphic artist, author and book illustrator. Together with Heinz Hajek-Halke he was one of the most important light graphic artists (Lichtgrafik) in the world.

Lichtgrafik is an advanced form of photogram. During a multi step process photo paper, photo linen or film get exposed to light in a darkroom without the use of a camera. The original photogram becomes a light graphic by means of double exposure, the use of a flash light and the use of scissors, stencils, razors, brush or pens.
